This is a heartfelt plea.

As a Realtor and as just a person, I cannot stress enough that someone knows your final wishes. If you've a will, and you SHOULD HAVE A WILL, let someone know where it might be. Please. We've now had four deaths in the past couple of months among our friends and family. Yesterday we learned of a passing, and we are likely the closest friend-and we've no idea where he might have his will. Or even how to find it. Having been involved with him financially, it's pretty important. Please. Keep decent records. Let someone know where things are. Be sure that your final plans are made and accessible to your survivors.
